OpenStreetMap compatibility

As of Fall 2024, over 350,000 changes on OSM used Mapillary imagery as a reference!

All Mapillary images and the derived metadata are available to edit OpenStreetMap (OSM). Such metadata could be street numbers, road signs, street names, building descriptions, road conditions etc. It is free and always will be—this is part of our commitment to OpenStreetMap. Make sure you follow these conditions:

• Derived metadata may be published directly to OpenStreetMap under the OpenStreetMap Foundation contributor terms.
• Derived metadata may be published elsewhere for the community to use if it is publicly accessible and licensed under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL).
• Mapillary appreciates attribution for derived metadata, for example using the tag "source=Mapillary" or by linking to mapillary.com. Alternatively, you can use the existing mapillary key [http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:mapillary] to indicate which image describes your OpenStreetMap feature or put Mapillary in your changeset description or source.
• Other images, videos, logos, map tiles, or graphic material on the Mapillary site are not included in this license.
