Mapillary automatically extracts 42 types of objects detected in Mapillary imagery as point features on the map. (For more information and the list of included object classes, refer to the article about map features.)
You can explore point features on the Mapillary web app. To turn on point features, click on the "Map data" icon at the top of the Mapillary web app and click the dropdown arrow under "Show points" to bring up the list of all available point features.
You can filter for specific objects. Start typing in the box and you'll see a list of results (based on the list of objects we detect)—you can scroll through it with your mouse. Click to add an object to the filter. You'll see its label appear above the search bar so you see what you're filtering for at any given time. To remove an object from the filters, just click on its label. To clear all object filters, press "Reset" in the "Map data" menu.
You can close the “Map data” menu at any time by clicking the cross at the top right corner or the “Map data” menu button. Your applied filters will remain active and you can access them and the search box any time by just clicking on the “Map data” menu button again.
When you click on a point feature icon on the map, you'll be presented with a set of images where the object has been detected.
Click on the image thumbnail to open the image and see the detection with its bounding box.
