Mapillary uses computer vision technology to detect traffic signs and point features in street level imagery. The predicted locations of these features can be viewed and downloaded in the Mapillary web app. 1,500 traffic sign classes and 42 point feature classes are available for download.
How to download map data on the Mapillary web app:
- Visit mapillary.com/app and login to your account.
- Click the 'Map data' icon at top to open the map data menu.
- Use the drop downs for traffic signs and points to select your desired features. You can select all traffic signs, all point features, or a subset of both. If you would like to clear your selections, use the 'Reset' buttons.
- Zoom in on the map to roughly city scale, where the map data will render. Once you can see the map data, you'll notice the 'Download' button is no longer grayed out.
- Click on the 'Download' button to get a feature collection of map data in GeoJSON format. Note that, while you can view both traffic signs and point features at the same time in the web app, they must be downloaded separately.
Hint: if you would like to download map features from a specific date range, apply a filter using the 'Filters' button!
If you would like to download data for a larger area, please download map data with the Mapillary API.
Note: Mapillary imagery and map data are available for use in compliance with the Terms of Use, and particularly the Commercial Terms (section 12).
